Event Categories Display Settings

Overview

The Event Categories Display Settings section allows you to configure how Event Category archive pages are displayed across your website. These settings provide centralized control over the layout, appearance, and organization of category pages, making it easier for visitors to browse events by category.

Using these global settings, you can customize the archive layout, manage category information, configure sidebars, and control how events are presented within each category.

All changes made in this section apply globally to all Event Category archive pages unless overridden by a custom Archive Template.

Event Categories URL Slug

Customize the URL slug used for event categories pages. This setting controls the base portion of the categories URLs displayed on your website.

Enter the custom slug you want to use for your event tag URLs.

Default: event-tag

Enable Page Title

Enables or disables the page title section on event category pages.

Default: Enabled

Categories Alignment

Controls the horizontal alignment of content on event category pages.

Options: Left, Center, Right
Default: Left

Category Page Layout

Controls which sections are displayed on event category pages. Select the sections you want to show; the display order is fixed.

Available Sections:

• Category Name
• Category Thumbnail
• Description
• Event Count Badge
• Events
• Navigation

Display Style

Controls how events associated with the selected category are displayed.

Options: Slider, Grid
Default: Grid

Number of Events to Show

Sets the number of events displayed on the category page.

Range: 1–20
Default: 6

Enable Auto Slide

Enables or disables automatic movement of events when the Slider display style is selected.

Default: Disabled

Pause on Hover

Pauses automatic slider movement when the visitor hovers over the slider.

This setting is available when Enable Auto Slide is enabled.

Default: Enabled

Autoplay Direction

Controls the direction in which the event slider automatically moves.

Options: Forward, Backward
Default: Forward

Slide Effect

Controls the visual transition effect used when navigating through category-related events in the slider.

Options: Slide, Fade, Coverflow, Flip, Cards
Default: Slide

Autoplay Delay (ms)

Sets the time interval between automatic slider transitions in milliseconds.

Range: 1,000–10,000 ms
Default: 3,000 ms

Number of Columns

Sets the number of columns used to display events when the Grid display style is selected.

Options: 2 Columns, 3 Columns, 4 Columns
Default: 2 Columns

Notes

• These settings apply globally to all Event Category archive pages.
• Event listings update automatically as events are added to or removed from categories.
• Sidebar and layout settings are applied consistently across all category archives.
• Changes take effect immediately after saving the settings.
