Overview

The Event Author widget displays the name of the WordPress user who created or published the event. It is designed for use within the Event Single Template Builder, allowing visitors to quickly identify the event author.

This widget automatically retrieves the author information from the current event and updates dynamically for every event using the same template.


Widget Purpose

Use the Event Author widget to display author information on your event pages, improving credibility and providing additional context for visitors.

The widget automatically displays:

  • Event Author Name
  • Optional Author Icon
  • Customizable Label

Widget Controls

Label

Customize the text displayed before the author’s name.

Example Output:

Author: John Smith

Show Icon

Enable or disable the author icon displayed before the label.

Options

  • Yes
  • No

When enabled, an author icon is displayed alongside the author’s name.


Style Options

The Event Author widget includes styling options to match your website design.

Text Color

Customize the color of the author label and author name.


Icon Color

Customize the color of the author icon when the Show Icon option is enabled.


Dynamic Data

The widget automatically retrieves the following information from the current event:

  • Event Author
  • WordPress User Display Name

No manual configuration is required after adding the widget to your Event Single Template.
