Overview

The Zozo Event Taxonomy Grid & List widget allows you to display Event Builder taxonomies, such as Categories, Tags, or Labels, in either a responsive Grid or List layout using Elementor.

This widget helps visitors browse events by taxonomy, making it easier to discover related events based on categories, topics, event types, or labels. It is ideal for event directories, conference websites, community portals, and event archive pages.


General Settings

Overview

The General section contains the basic configuration options for the Taxonomy widget.


Extra Class

Add one or more custom CSS classes to the widget.

This allows you to apply custom styling without modifying the plugin files.

Display Layout

Overview

Choose how taxonomy items are displayed on the page.

Layout Style

Grid View

Displays taxonomy items in responsive cards arranged across multiple columns.

This layout is ideal for:

List View

Displays taxonomy items vertically with additional descriptions and information.

This layout works well for:

  • Event Directories
  • Category Archives

Taxonomy Settings

Overview

Choose which taxonomy should be displayed.

The widget can display different Event Builder taxonomies depending on your website structure.


Taxonomy Type

Select the taxonomy to display.

Available options may include:

  • Event Categories
  • Event Tags
  • Event Labels

Each taxonomy automatically displays all available terms unless filters are applied.


Terms Per Page

Specify how many taxonomy items should be displayed.

Example:

Choose a value that balances performance and presentation.


Description Length

Specify how many words should be displayed from each taxonomy description.

Short descriptions create compact cards, while longer descriptions provide additional information.


Include Terms

Display only selected taxonomy terms.

Exclude Terms

Hide selected taxonomy terms from the widget.

This allows you to remove specific categories or labels without deleting them.


Hide Empty Terms

Order By

Choose how taxonomy items should be sorted.

Common sorting options include:

  • ID
  • Event Count

Order

Choose the sorting direction.

  • Ascending
  • Descending

Ascending displays taxonomy terms alphabetically, while Descending reverses the order.


Displayed Information

Overview

Each taxonomy card or list item can display useful information about the selected taxonomy term.

Depending on your layout, displayed information may include:

  • Category Name
  • Tag Name
  • Label Name

  • Event Count
  • Read More Button
  • View Events Button

Displayed information updates automatically whenever the taxonomy is modified.


Grid Layout

Overview

The Grid View displays taxonomy items in responsive cards across multiple columns.

Overview

Each taxonomy item can display the number of events assigned to that category, tag, or label.

Displaying event counts helps visitors quickly identify the most active event categories.

Navigation

Overview

Each taxonomy item can link directly to its archive page.

Visitors can click a category, tag, or label to browse all associated events.

This improves navigation and makes event discovery easier.
